Teamwork is Resilience
by Lil Tuffy, San Francisco based artist
“When this project commenced, I thought back to my childhood growing up in Southern California in the early 80s. I remember seeing “AIDS” spray painted on nearly every stop sign in my neighborhood. A year or so later, it was omnipresent on the evening news. As a young art student at the end of the decade, I was impressed and inspired by the AIDS Memorial Quilt and the power and emotion a communal work of art could command. For this poster, I wanted to communicate the strength of community and how simple acts of public expression can inform and influence our global society.” – Lil Tuffy
