The lanyard attached to the delegate badge is a highly visible item worn by every participant, with over 20,000 being produced and distributed. The secretariat will handle distribution and coordination of lanyards onsite.

Positive Lounge

Details

The Positive Lounge is designed as a place of rest, support and networking exclusively for HIV-positive conference delegates. It provides an opportunity to meet and talk with other people living with HIV from across the globe in a relaxed and nurturing environment. Complimentary snacks, spaces for informal meetings and private facilities for taking medication are provided. Additional activities, such as yoga sessions and massages, may be organized. By supporting the Positive Lounge, the sponsor demonstrates commitment to HIV-positive people by providing a high level of comfort to the delegates using it.

Sponsor/s will be recognized through logo placement on a sign at the entrance of the lounge.

Mobile app

Details

The conference app has become a key feature of AIDS conferences. The mobile application, available for Apple and Android users, allows delegates to browse every important aspect of the conference programme in detail directly on their smartphone. The last conferences have seen a steady increase in use of the Mobile App which for AIDS 2018 was downloaded by ca. 10,000 delegates.

The sponsor’s logo will be visible on the landing page of the application and on the menu page.

The pocket programme is an indispensable quick and easy reference guide for all conference delegates. Youth Pavilion

The Youth Pavilion is the main networking space for young people at AIDS 2020. Situated in the Global Village (San Francisco), it is a space for sessions, performances, meetings and forums. Sponsorship of the Youth Pavilion presents an excellent opportunity for visibility particularly among a young audience.

Recognition as the official sponsor of the Youth Pavilion at AIDS 2020 on the conference website, as well as visibility in the pavilion area and during sessions (use of logo on signage).

NEW! The Global Village and Youth Programme is open to the public, as well as conference delegates. Increase the awareness and visibility of your brand with a lifespan beyond the duration of AIDS 2020 by sponsoring the very first bag for the Global Village and Youth Programme. This will provide the sponsor with an excellent marketing opportunity during the conference week, with extended exposure for years beyond. 2,500 bags will be distributed. The sponsor is responsible for the production of the bags, but design requires approval from the IAS and should include the conference logo.

AIDS 2020: News and Reminders*

Details

To publicize the conference and attract participation, approximately 10 messages will be sent over the course of October 2019 to July 2020. Distribution varies between 20,000 and 150,000. The emails feature conference updates and deadline reminders.

AIDS 2020: Programme Highlights*

Details

Between January and June 2020, programme highlights will be shared in a campaign that is a sequence of 5 to 6 emails, sent to all IAS marketing contacts of over 150,000 people. The campaign features conference content highlights and serve as a primary marketing tool. Topics range from science highlights to headline speakers.

Daily Conference Review* (July 6-10 2020)

Details

AIDS 2020 will publish a daily official conference summary by email every morning between 6 and 10 July. The summary will provide an overview of conference highlights, key updates, and links to relevant news articles from AIDS 2020 media partners. This email will be distributed to all conference delegates, as well as the conference marketing list, reaching an estimated 45,000 individuals. Sponsorship covers the full set of three Daily Conference Reviews.

Studio Programme

Details

NEW! An all access studio programme will be presented daily throughout the conference week. The digital programme will offer both delegates and virtual audiences direct access to the conference with interviews and conversations with high-level speakers on big topics, news and digital Q&As. The programme will feature multiple segments filmed in the conference studio with a mixture of live and pre-recorded shows.

Sponsor recognition through logo placement on the studio backdrop. Acknowledgment on all digital programme promotional emails, studio webpage and verbal acknowledgement during the programme.

Media Centre

Details

Approximately 400 media representatives from all around the world are expected to attend the conference, including strong representation of major international news outlets. The media centre provides interview spaces and meeting rooms, information and publication areas, and AV broadcast booths and thus serves as the hub for all participating media. As the media centre leads to the press conference room where all media briefings will be held, it will also be visited by high level speakers and conference spokespeople. Throughout the week of the conference, a dedicated media programme will be hosted in the media centre, with expert speakers briefing journalists on a variety of topics.

The exclusive sponsor of the media centre will receive high-profile exposure through:

  • Screensavers on each computer featuring the sponsor’s logo.
  • Sponsor recognition on signage at the entrance and in the Media Centre.
  • Sponsor recognition at the Media Centre information desk, featuring the sponsor’s name and logo.

Business Centre

Details

Located either in the exhibition area or in another area with high delegate traffic (to be determined), the Business Centre will feature computers with internet access as well as plug-ins for laptop connections. The Business Centre is much appreciated and highly visible, as many delegates without access to private offices use it regularly. Hiring costs of computers, IT support, network hardware, and infrastructure are included in the sponsorship fee.

The sponsor of the Business Centre will receive exposure through:

  • Screensavers on each computer, which could feature the company’s logo and/or specific information (on satellite sessions, exhibitions etc.).
  • A landing page designed by the sponsor on desktop computers (as approved by IAS).
  • Placement of logo on signage at the Business Centre.

Engagement Tour

Details

During the conference, engagement tours provide delegates with unique learning experiences through interactive site visits to local community-based organizations. The goal is to exchange knowledge, best practices, successes, challenges, and innovative solutions through dialogue and hands-on activities. The sponsor supports one specific engagement tour that will be offered twice during the conference.

The sponsor will be recognized on signage at the engagement tour meeting point and on the engagement tours page on the conference website.

IAS Members Reception

Details

The IAS is the world’s leading independent association of HIV professionals with over 10,000 members from more than 180 countries working at all levels of the global response to AIDS. IAS members include researchers from all disciplines, clinicians, public health and community practitioners on the frontlines of the epidemic, as well as policy and programme planners. In conjunction with the annual members’ meeting which regularly draws 400 attendees, a reception will be organized during the conference allowing IAS members to meet and network.

NEW! The conference website will be viewed by thousands of delegates as they access the site for registration, hotel and programme information. Extend your brand visibility with an ad on one of the most viewed pages of the conference website. This advertising opportunity will be available from January-July 2020 and comes in packages of 1-3 calendar months. For reasons of compliance with codes and regulations, only corporate branding and awareness campaigns are allowed.

Flyers will be distributed at the entrance to the plenary hall at the start of each day. These flyers could be used, for example, to advertise a satellite symposium or exhibition booth.
