AIDS 2020: Virtual features a revised, reduced pricing structure.

All registrations for AIDS 2020: Virtual must be submitted through the online registration form. Group registration is no longer possible.

Media registration is free for qualified individuals who are attending AIDS 2020: Virtual in their capacity as journalists, photographers, videographers and community educators.

For those who registered before 27 March 2020:

If you have already registered for AIDS 2020, you will be automatically registered for the virtual experience. You will be contacted directly with regards to reimbursement aligned with the new, reduced pricing structure.

Members of the media who qualified and registered before 27 March will automatically be registered for AIDS 2020: Virtual. No fees apply to media registration.

REGISTRATION FEES

To encourage the broadest participation possible in the conference, organizers are offering a four-tiered fee structure with lower registration fees for delegates from upper-middle income countries, lower-middle income countries and low-income countries (based on the World Bank Classification), and students/youth/post-docs.

The standard AIDS 2020: Virtual registration fee includes:

  • Access to all conference sessions, the opening and closing sessions, the commercial and poster exhibitions, and Global Village
  • Access to selected pre-conferences
  • A US$ 75 contribution towards a two-year International AIDS Society membership: The two-year International AIDS Society membership will be activated following the conference, or – if you are already an IAS member – the existing membership extended by two years. MEDIA ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES

Please note that we cannot accept applications for media credentials from representatives of media outlets that are not directly involved in journalism.

Journalists, photographers, videographers and community educators who are either employees of or on assignment for a recognized print, radio, broadcast or online consumer, medical, community-based or AIDS service organization-sponsored media outlet are eligible to apply for complimentary media registration. Please note that for the purpose of media accreditation, the term, “community educator”, refers to anyone doing journalism for AIDS service organizations (ASOs) or other community-based media outlets.

Communications support professionals attached to a recognized HIV research, advocacy or policy organization, whose work is directly related to supporting media coverage of presentations at AIDS 2020: Virtual are not considered media and must register as a regular delegate. Media accreditation for this category is not guaranteed, but is granted on a case-by-case basis.
